I just got this product today. After going through the user manual and played with the setup. I found that there is no way for me to shorten the Record Delay. I want to reduce it to 0 or 1 second to fit my application. The delay of 5s is the lowest gap between videos or pictures in current firmware design.
Could you please tell me how I can get an updated firmware with 0 or 1 second of record delay?

I don't know what some buyers expect but if you have a mild interest in what is happenning at night in your back yard then this is a simple way of finding out. Unit is very rugged (been raining every night since I got it and it is working fine) and produces surprisingly good results. The camera has its limitations but you would be unrealistic to expect high quality, high resolution results from a unit of this type and cost. It does work effectively and so far I have caught the neighbourhood fox as well as numerous cats. The camera does tend to blow highlights but again for the price of the unit, I am not surprised. The main strengths are the "all in one" concept, the weather sealing, the very strong mounting strap (as well as thoughtful touches like the tripod bush) and the versatile setup features. Recommended.

Our cabin was broken into recently and we were devastated.
Decided to purchase outdoor camera, went to radio shack and
was pleased with saleslady's ability to show us how this
cameral would work for what we wanted.
Have used it at cabin, but also at home when we were not
at home just to see who and what all happened. It was so
amazing, my husband tells me that I've had lots of fun with
this camera. And I have. Family, neighbors, unknown people
and our animals have been filmed and never knew it.. since
we bought it for watching our cabin when we were not there
we didnt tell anyone we had it.. We are just happy with it as
can be BUT WE CANT FIND OUR INSTRUCTION BOOK

I recieved this and right away I noticed it does NOT pick up sound, set it up to motion senser inside my vending machines, to detect abuse. too big, no sound, and no instructions on settings, ie the time lasped between videos.

I was surprised at the quality of pictures and video this camera provided for its price. It has been outside for over two months and continues to perform perfectly as a security camera on my property day and night. I would recommend a metal strap with padlocks for the strap and camera so that it cannot be stolen or the card removed.

looked like a good product, easy to read manual; daylight response good, but night response terrible. i don't know what they tested this with, but clearly it was not what the specs say. too bad, easy setup
