The Swann SportsCam Waterproof Mini Video Camera is the ideal accessory for the adrenaline junkie in us all. Imagine capturing all of your sporting achievements and then re-living the action with your friends and family.
With the SportsCam you can capture video footage in AVI format at 640 x 480 pixels resolution or JPEG still images at 1280 x 960 photo resolution, all at the push of a button. Video is recorded to a Micro SD card (not included) and transferred to your PC via USB connection.
The SportsCam supports MicroSD cards up to 16GB and you can swap cards to increase your recording capacity. Once recorded, upload your videos to your favorite content sharing sites such as YouTube, Facebook, Flickr and Myspace. The tiny SportsCam also doubles as a webcam for use on messenger services like skype, MSN and yahoo.
Getting the SportsCam wet is no problem either. Simply slip the camera body into its waterproof housing and it's protected in up to 65ft of water. The camera is so small and light you can attach it to almost any sports gear with the attachments provided including Velcro straps, clips, case and mutli-clips. The inbuilt lithium-ion rechargeable battery is charged via PC USB and has enough juice for up to 2 and a half hours of recording time per charge.

It only needs downloadable installation software for those without a cd drive in their computer, like this computer!
For my other computer I have a Linux OS and installation doesn't work. The webcam feature doesn't record sound no matter how hard I try all I get is images and video. More work on the software is needed.
However getting about town, driving, diving, doing anything video this is better than anything else for such a low price.

Purchased this camera from Radio Shack. Got it and was anxious to try it out. Well, I couldn't get the micro disk to engage into the camera. Followed all instructions but it wouldn't lock in. I've used digital cameras and camcorders with disks but never encountered a problem like this. Called Radio Shack and they told me to return the camera. I like Swann products and ordered the same camera thinking this one was just defective. Got the second camera and the same thing happened. disk wouldn't engage in the camera. At this point I was very frustrated. I didn't want to send another camera back, thinking Radio Shack wouldn't believe the same thing happened. So I put the disk in again and took a small flat blade screwdriver and pushed the disk in and it engaged. My fingers are not huge and for the life of me I can't see how anyone can insert this disk in without using something to help it along. Furthermore I don't think this is the proper way to insert a disk. I used the same method to remove the disk. So far so good. So (buyer beware). Otherwise works great.

Im a Dive, and i was diving to 90 feets, and thi camera, work excelent, i want a better resolutions, but work good.
Soy buzo y he buceado a 90 pies con esta camara, trabaja excelente, me gustaria una mejor resolution, pero por su precio, trabaja muy bien.

Rated 5 out of 5 Perfectly fit our budget for an underwater and action camera!
Bought it so my husband could record his dives. It works great. As an action camera it worked for us during a road trip down a mountain road and the video was sharp. The only slight disadvantage is that to change the SD card and reset the time you must have a computer handy (laptop) to re-set the date.....for us that is just gonna take some getting used to....we have to take the laptop with us on the houseboat for the weekend or ignore the date......
Recommend it? Heck yeah! I'm looking for a great price on another one...for me!
